Expansion Vessel Wiesberg RSSE 24 Ref. 95000170
The expansion vessel Wiesberg RSSE 24 is a component that absorbs the increase in water volume when heated, thus preventing pressure issues in the boiler. When this part fails, unstable pressure can be noticed, with sharp rises and falls, and it is possible that the safety valve may start to leak. This vessel is compatible with several boilers from the Wiesberg brand, such as the models RSN 24, RSNE 24, RSS 24, and RSSE 24, among others. It is recommended to replace it if these symptoms of malfunction are observed.

How to check if the ref. 95000170 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 95000170. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the expansion vessel 95000170 resolves.
The expansion vessel absorbs the expansion of water when heated. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The circuit frequently loses pressure and needs to be refilled with water almost every week.
Cause: The vessel has lost its air precharge and does not compensate for the expansion of the water in the circuit.
With the cold circuit depressurized, measure the air pressure in the valve of the expansion vessel and compare it with the filling pressure of the boiler.
- 02
The safety valve is tripping and leaking water for no apparent reason.
Cause: Without an air cushion, the pressure in the circuit rises when heating the water and opens the gas valve.
Measure the cold pressure and again ten minutes after turning it on; if the increase is significant, check the expansion vessel before the gas valve.
- 03
You can hear banging or hammering in the pipes when the boiler starts up.
Cause: The vessel dampens flow changes; if it fails, the water hammer is transmitted throughout the entire system.
Make sure that no shut-off valve between the tank and the circuit is closed before replacing the part.
- 04
When pressing the air valve of the expansion vessel, water comes out instead of air.
Cause: It is the clearest sign that the internal membrane is broken and water has invaded the air side.
With the circuit depressurized, press the Schrader valve pin of the expansion vessel for one second; if liquid comes out, there is no need to check anything else.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
