Filling Key Extender Cointra Edyco ED 21 EI
If you are unable to add water when trying to fill the heating circuit or notice that it is leaking or continuously allowing water to pass, you may need the Cointra Edyco ED 21 EI Filling Key Extension. This part allows you to replenish water in the heating circuit to restore the proper pressure. It is installed in boilers from the ED range, such as the ED-21 model, as well as in other models from the SP, SPA, SPC, and SPI ranges, among others. It is advisable to replace it when it shows faults or leaks that affect the system's pressure.

Can't see your model or have questions? The printed reference takes precedence. How to check it · Send us a photo via WhatsApp.
How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the filling valve resolves
The filling valve allows water to refill the heating circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
I can't turn the filling key because it's hidden among the pipes.
Cause: Without the extension, the original key is too short or misaligned to be used by hand.
Measure the available space and the diameter of your key's stem before purchasing to ensure that the extension fits.
- 02
The extension has broken and left a piece inside, or it has been lost.
Cause: It is a plastic part that wears out with use and can become brittle over time.
Check that the filling valve turns correctly with pliers, to rule out that the problem is with the valve and not the extension.
- 03
I cannot fill the heating circuit because I cannot open the filling valve.
Cause: The extender allows the valve to be operated by hand in installations where it is recessed or very close to the wall.
First, check if the problem is due to space or if the valve is stuck, as the extension will not solve a valve that does not turn.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
