Flow meter Cointra M15 20C

Flow meter Cointra M15 20C

Stock · 3 units

When you open the tap, the Cointra M15 20C flow meter detects the flow of water and activates the ignition to produce domestic hot water. If this part fails, you will notice that no hot water comes out, even though the tap is open. It is compatible with boilers from the SUPERLATIVE range, such as models 25 E, 35 E, PLUS 24 C, among others. It is recommended to replace the flow meter if you experience issues with the hot water supply.

Guide

How to check if it is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the flow meter resolves

The flow meter detects the passage of water to activate the domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

You request hot water and it doesn't heat, even though there is no lack of gas or electricity in the boiler.

Cause: The flow meter does not send the pulse that the PCB needs to recognize that there is a demand for domestic hot water.

Check the cold water inlet pressure with a manometer: if it is below the minimum, the turbine will not spin even if the tap is open.

  • 02

The burner takes several seconds to ignite after opening the hot water tap.

Cause: The turbine shaft rotates with difficulty due to dirt, delaying the moment when the sensor confirms the minimum flow.

Open the tap fully: if the delay decreases with more flow, it may be dirt in the turbine.

  • 03

The temperature of the hot water fluctuates on its own while you are using it.

Cause: The blades stick intermittently and the sensor sends irregular signals that cause the burner to modulate unnecessarily.

Close and open the tap a couple of times in quick succession: if the fault occurs more frequently when reopening, check the limescale buildup in the domestic hot water circuit.

  • 04

The boiler shows a fault of lack of flow or water even though the tap is open and with normal pressure.

Cause: The control board does not receive a pulse from the flow sensor and interprets it as a lack of water, even though water is indeed flowing.

Make sure that the inlet shut-off valve is fully open and that there is no external valve or filter restricting the flow.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
