- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the flow meter BI1091104 resolves.
The flow meter detects the passage of water to activate the domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
You turn on the hot water tap and the boiler does not ignite, although the pilot light is working and there is gas.
Cause: The flow detector does not detect the flow of water and does not send the command to turn on the burner.
Check that the cold water inlet filter is not blocked by scale or dirt and that the tap is fully open.
- 02
The hot water comes out in bursts, it turns on and off several times while the tap is still running.
Cause: The internal palette of the detector moves irregularly due to accumulated scale or because the flow is just at the minimum limit.
Check the network pressure and make sure there is no other tap open that reduces the flow to the boiler.
- 03
The heating works without any issues, but the domestic hot water never starts up.
Cause: This detector only operates in the domestic hot water circuit: if the contact does not close, the control unit does not receive the demand signal.
Check that the fitting and the filter before the part are free of scale before declaring it faulty.
- 04
You notice humidity or a small drip in the area where the detector is mounted.
Cause: The body gaskets wear out over time and lose their sealing ability.
Dry the area, tighten the fittings, and locate the exact point of the leak before replacing the entire part.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
