Sime Metropolis H25 BF burner
In Sime boilers, the Sime Metropolis H25 BF burner is responsible for mixing air and gas, sustaining the flame that heats the heat exchanger. When it experiences faults, you will notice difficult ignitions, an irregular flame, strange noises, or lockouts due to flame failure. This burner is compatible with several models, such as the Format Zip 5-25 BF, Metropolis 25 BF, Metropolis DGT 25 BF, and Murelle 25 BF, among others. Replacement is recommended when the mentioned symptoms become evident.

How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the burner resolves
The burner performs the combustion of gas. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler tries to ignite, lights up for a moment and then turns off immediately.
Cause: The nozzles of the multijet ramp are clogged or eroded, preventing the stable flame that the burner needs from forming.
Clean the accessible nozzles with compressed air and check if the flame burns evenly across the entire burner.
- 02
The flame burns well in some sections of the burner and poorly or not at all in others.
Cause: Dirt in the gas installation partially covers some nozzles, preventing them from burning evenly.
With the burner removed, hold each nozzle up to the light to check for debris or dirt before considering it damaged.
- 03
A small thump or popping sound is heard when starting the boiler.
Cause: The delay in ignition due to dirty nozzles causes gas to accumulate before igniting.
Also check the fan and the air box of the burner BF: insufficient draft can cause the same backfire even if the burner is not faulty.
- 04
There are holes, corrosion, or deformation in the metal body of the burner.
Cause: It is natural wear of the metal after years of use, and although it still ignites, it no longer distributes the gas evenly.
Inspect the burner with a flashlight looking for holes or irregularly blackened areas before replacing it.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
