Chaffoteaux Gas Valve MC 2 24 FF Ref. 61013015

Stock · 7 units

If your boiler does not ignite, shows flame lockouts, or modulates improperly, you may need the Chaffoteaux MC 2 24 FF Gas Valve Ref. 61013015. This valve regulates the flow of gas to the burner, operating under the commands of the control board. When it fails, errors such as 5 02, 5 01, or E 20 can occur, indicating issues with flame detection. It is compatible with several boilers, such as the DELTA 24 FF from the CALYDRA range, or models from the CENTORA range, among others. It is recommended to replace it when noticing ignition problems or improper operation.

How to check if ref. 61013015 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 61013015. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the gas valve 61013015 resolves.

The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The boiler tries to ignite, you can hear the sparking of the electrode, but it doesn't manage to light the flame.

Cause: The gas valve does not open the gas flow to the burner even though the rest of the ignition sequence works normally.

Check that the main gas valve is fully open and that other appliances in the house do have gas before declaring the gas valve faulty.

  • 02

The flame burns unstably, flickers, or makes a noise like irregular blowing.

Cause: The modulation system of the gas valve is not properly dosing the gas flow to the burner.

Check the gas inlet filter of the boiler; dirt there causes the same symptom as a valve that does not modulate.

  • 03

The boiler ignites, runs for a few seconds, and then locks out with a flame error.

Cause: The valve takes a long time to open or doesn't open fully, and the control unit doesn't detect the flame in time and shuts off for safety.

Note the exact fault code displayed and compare it with the manual before replacing the valve; there are several codes that point to other causes.

  • 04

The boiler heats less than usual or takes much longer to reach the requested temperature.

Cause: The solenoid of the valve degrades over years of use and no longer opens to the maximum flow rate.

First, rule out a buildup of limescale in the heat exchanger, which causes a similar loss of efficiency without the gas valve being involved.

Fault codes Chaffoteaux that this part resolves

CodeFaultDiagnosis and solution
5 02Flame detected with gas valve closedThe gas valve remains partially open or closes slowly/is leaking when the control commands closure; check for absence of voltage in coils and perform a tightness/manometer test on the ramp: if there is gas flow without power, the valve is faulty.
5 01Flame absence (ionization not detected after ignition)The gas valve does not open or modulate correctly; check that it receives voltage during the ignition attempt and measure burner pressure. If there is a command/voltage and no gas or pressure is out of specification, the valve block is defective or miscalibrated.
E 20Flame detection with gas valve closedLockout due to flame detection with the EVG closed: the gas valve is stuck/permeates. Check that there is no voltage in the coils during the fault and perform a tightness test/flame observation; if there is gas without control, replace the valve.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
