Guide

How to check if ref. 9158446 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 9158446. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the hydraulic group 9158446 resolves.

The hydraulic group includes the valve, the by-pass, and the water connections. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

There is a drip or water leak coming from the central area of the boiler, between the inlet and outlet pipes.

Cause: The gaskets or the brass body of the hydraulic block lose tightness with use and pressure.

Dry the area thoroughly and check again after the system has been running for a while to pinpoint the exact location of the leak before replacing the entire block.

  • 02

When opening a hot water tap, the boiler takes time to detect it or the burner doesn't ignite at all.

Cause: The flow sensor or the microswitch integrated into the block does not detect the water flow and does not signal the PCB to start the domestic hot water.

Check that the water flow at the tap is at least the minimum required by the boiler; with low mains pressure, it sometimes does not activate the flow switch.

  • 03

A whistling or turbine noise is heard when the domestic hot water is running.

Cause: The flow turbine of the hydraulic block is spinning with friction or has scale buildup on the shaft.

Check if the noise always coincides with the flow of water and does not appear when the boiler is at rest, to rule out that it comes from another source.

  • 04

When opening the hot water tap, the pressure in the heating circuit rises on the manometer.

Cause: An internal gasket of the block that separates the primary circuit from the domestic water circuit has lost its seal and is mixing the two circuits.

Observe the pressure gauge just after opening and closing the domestic hot water tap several times to confirm that the pressure jump is reproducible.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
