Cause: With wear, the spring loses its correct travel and the needle does not reflect the actual pressure.
Compare with the usual pressure of the installation in cold to see if the deviation is from the circuit or from the pressure gauge itself.

There is a water leak behind the pressure gauge, at the brass fitting.
Cause: The fitting gasket dries out with the heat cycles and eventually starts leaking water.
Tighten the fitting carefully, without overdoing it, and dry the area: if the leak reappears soon, it's the gasket, not the body.
