The pressure sensor measures the water pressure for the electronics. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

    The boiler shows a pressure fault warning even though the circuit is properly filled.

    Cause: The sensor does not send the actual pressure value to the control board, which shuts off for safety.

    Compare the pressure indicated by the boiler with that of an external manometer before declaring the part defective.

    The boiler intermittently locks out: sometimes it ignites and other times it doesn't.

    Cause: A pressure sensor with an unstable signal can provide valid readings at times and erroneous ones at others, causing irregular lockouts.

    Note when it fails (when cold, when hot, after several hours) to rule out a wiring issue or loose connection.

    The display does not show any pressure value or remains at zero.

    Cause: If the sensor stops transmitting a signal, the control board does not receive data and may display the reading as blank or zero.

    Check the connection of the sensor cable to the PCB before replacing the part; it is a common failure point due to vibration.

    The boiler starts but stops after a few minutes with a pressure fault.

    Cause: A fluctuating sensor signal can cause the control board to interpret a non-existent pressure drop and interrupt the cycle.

    Check for any micro leaks and ensure that the expansion vessel is not discharged, as these would produce the same symptom without the sensor failing.
