Air Pressure Switch Beretta Vokera Riello Ciao Compact PPS10004 Ref. R01005272
When you turn on the tap or start the heating, the Beretta Vokera Riello Ciao Compact PPS10004 air pressure switch (Ref. R01005272) checks the air pressure and allows the boiler to operate correctly. If this part fails, you will notice that the boiler does not start or locks out, even though the actual pressure is adequate. It is installed in boilers such as the MC 2 24 FF, Elexia Comfort 24 FF, among others. It is advisable to replace it when it shows signs of malfunction or if errors such as 40-60-80 or 40-60-70 are detected.

How to check if ref. PPS10004-2105 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference PPS10004-2105. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure switch PPS10004-2105 resolves.
The pressure switch controls the air or water pressure to authorize operation. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
When giving a heating or domestic hot water command, the boiler immediately locks out and shows a ventilation fault.
Cause: The pressure switch confirms to the control board that the fan has generated sufficient pressure; if the signal does not arrive, it cuts off the attempt.
Check that the fan spins freely and without unusual noise before replacing the pressure switch.
- 02
The boiler only ignites if the reset is pressed several times in a row.
Cause: A contact that switches irregularly allows the ignition to pass sometimes yes and sometimes no.
Check the pressure intake pipes: if they have accumulated water, the pressure switch receives an unstable signal.
- 03
It stops just as it starts heating, not when it starts up.
Cause: The pressure switch monitors the pressure while the burner is operating; if it drops for a moment, it triggers a safety cut-off.
Rule out that the flue duct is partially blocked before declaring the part defective.
- 04
The lockout disappears only after leaving the boiler turned off for a few minutes.
Cause: It is a symptom of a membrane that does not withstand the working pressure well, common in the wear of the pressure switch.
Note how many times a day the blockage occurs; if it increases, it is more likely to be the part.
Fault codes for Beretta that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| 40-60-80 | Absence of extraction flow (FF). | The air pressure switch does not close (remains at rest) due to lack of fan depression or obstruction/inlets/venturi; check the continuity of the pressure switch with the fan running and the pressure differential at the inlets (+/–) and hoses. |
| 40-60-70 | Flue extraction detection device fault (FF). | The pressure switch is detected in 'working' position before start-up (contacts stuck or wiring), the PCB locks; check that the pressure switch is open at rest and only closes when a vacuum is applied, using a multimeter/manometer and inspecting hoses/venturi. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
