Pressure switch ARISTON BASIC 23 MFFI Ref. 571653
In the ARISTON BASIC 23 MFFI boilers, the ARISTON BASIC 23 MFFI pressure switch Ref. 571653 is a component that checks the air or water pressure and authorizes the operation of the boiler. If this part fails, you will notice that the boiler does not start or gets locked, even when the actual pressure is correct. It is compatible with models such as the BASIC 23 MFFI and the NEW BASIC 23 MFFI, among others. It is recommended to replace the pressure switch when you experience these fault symptoms.

How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure switch resolves
The pressure switch controls the air or water pressure to authorize operation. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler tries to ignite, the fan starts for a moment and then shuts off without lighting the flame.
Cause: The pressure switch does not detect the correct depression in the flue duct, and the control unit cuts off the gas supply for safety.
Make sure the fan spins freely and quietly before considering that the pressure switch is faulty.
- 02
The display shows a lock or fault, and the boiler needs to be reset to attempt to ignite again.
Cause: It is the normal response of the pressure switch when it does not close the contact within the time required by the control board.
Note whether the blockage occurs always or only with strong wind outside, this helps to identify if it is the pressure switch or the flue.
- 03
The boiler starts up well some days and does not ignite on others, without a clear pattern.
Cause: A pressure switch with a dirty or worn contact switches irregularly according to the actual pressure it receives.
Turn it on several times in a row and note if the fault always occurs at the same point in the cycle.
- 04
The extractor is heard working, but the boiler does not ignite the flame.
Cause: The pressure switch gives the green light to the gas valve after confirming the evacuation pressure; if it doesn't switch, the gas doesn't open.
Check that the silicone tubes going from the pressure switch to the duct are not bent, loose, or have condensed water inside.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
