If you notice a constant water drip from your boiler, it may indicate that the Ferroli Domi Project F 24 3 Bar Safety Valve needs to be replaced. This valve is responsible for releasing water when the circuit pressure exceeds 3 bar, preventing damage to the system. It is compatible with several models, including Domiproject F24, Domicompact F24, and Divatop F24, among others. It should be replaced when it shows faults, such as continuous dripping or the inability to discharge properly.

How to check if the ref. 39818270 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 39818270. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the safety valve 39818270 resolves.
The safety valve releases pressure when the circuit exceeds its setting. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The valve is continuously leaking from the discharge outlet, even when the boiler is turned off.
Cause: The seat does not seal properly, usually due to dirt or limescale between the shutter and the seat.
Move the bleed lever a couple of times to flush out the dirt and check if the dripping stops before replacing it.
- 02
The circuit needs to be filled at certain intervals, and no leaks can be found in the radiators or pipes.
Cause: A slow and barely visible drip from the valve may be releasing pressure from the circuit without being noticeable at first glance.
Place a dry piece of paper under the gas valve outlet for a day to confirm if there is moisture before looking for the leak in another area.
- 03
The lever of the gas valve is stuck and is difficult to move, or it does not budge at all.
Cause: Corrosion or accumulated deposits can block the mechanism and leave the gas valve unable to act if the pressure rises.
Try to move it carefully; if it doesn't budge, don't force it and keep in mind that it may not be protecting the installation.
- 04
In the first few days after filling the circuit, the gas valve drips; then it seems to calm down.
Cause: An above-normal filling raises the pressure above the set point as soon as the boiler heats up, and the valve responds even if it is not faulty.
Check the cold pressure after filling and adjust it to the value indicated by the boiler before suspecting the gas valve.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
