  Check the air pressure of the expansion vessel with the boiler cold before changing the gas valve: it is often the real source.

  The pressure rises significantly on the manometer and the valve does not trigger.

  Cause: The seat or the spring can become stuck if the valve has not operated for a while.

  If it has a cap or manual bleed lever, operate it a couple of times to try to release it before replacing it.

  There is moisture on the thread of the gas valve, but the discharge pipe is dry.

  Cause: The leak is not a safety shot, but a gasket or joint that has lost tightness in the body of the gas valve.

  Dry the area and tighten the joint carefully: if moisture reappears right there, the part to be replaced is the gas valve.

  A puddle appears under the boiler intermittently, some days yes and others no.

  Cause: The dripping goes back and forth depending on the actual pressure of the circuit at each moment, typical of a seat that does not close completely.

  Note the pressure on the manometer on the days it drips and the days it doesn't: if it coincides with high pressure, confirm that it is the gas valve.
