  Cause: The motor of the 3-way valve does not move the diverter from one end to the other of the travel.

  Measure with a multimeter if the motor receives current at its terminals when the boiler requests the circuit change, before replacing it.

  The valve motor does not rotate or makes noise when activated, even though the boiler sends the command.

  Cause: It could be the motor itself (burnt winding) or the shaft may be blocked by scale buildup in the body of the gas valve.

  Disconnect the valve motor and check if it spins freely without load; if it spins loosely without the body, the fault is likely due to scale, not the motor.

  The display shows a warning or lock related to the 3-way valve.

  Cause: The control board does not receive the end-of-travel signal from the motor and cuts off operation for safety reasons.

  Check that the motor's electrical connector is properly fitted and free of corrosion before replacing the part.

  The domestic hot water takes a long time to come out hot or cools down intermittently while the heating continues to operate.

  Cause: The diverter does not completely close the flow to heating, so part of the water is distributed between the two circuits.

  With the boiler in DHW, touch the supply pipes to the radiators: if they are warm, the diverter is not closing that side properly.
