Cointra Supra SP 27 E I Extractor Ref. 9158603
The Cointra Supra range boilers use the Cointra Supra SP 27 E I Extractor, a flue fan responsible for evacuating combustion gases and generating the necessary draft for the boiler to start. If this part fails, you will notice that the boiler does not ignite or gets locked due to a problem with flue gas evacuation, and you might see fault codes such as F05, A05, or F20. It is installed in models like SP 27 EI and SPA 27 EI, among others. It is advisable to replace it when it shows operational faults or prevents the boiler from igniting.

How to check if the ref. 9158603 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 9158603. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the extractor 9158603 resolves.
The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and the display shows a fault with the extractor or fan.
Cause: The air pressure switch does not detect the depression that the extractor should generate and blocks the ignition for safety reasons.
Before changing the extractor, check that the connection tube to the pressure switch is properly fitted and free of cracks.
- 02
A strange buzzing or vibrating noise is heard in the extractor when starting the boiler.
Cause: The unbalanced impeller or a worn bearing causes vibrations when reaching speed.
With the boiler turned off, move the shaft of the fan with your fingers; if it has lateral play, the bearing is worn out.
- 03
The boiler locks out or resets itself during use, displaying a flue or exhaust fault on the screen.
Cause: The extractor does not maintain the necessary flow rate, either due to wear or dirt in the impeller, and the pressure drops below the safety threshold.
Check the flue terminal outside for any obstructions caused by leaves, nests, or dirt.
- 04
The extractor does not start and the boiler does not attempt to ignite.
Cause: The extractor motor has lost its winding or is not receiving power from the PCB.
Check with a multimeter that the extractor connector is receiving power before declaring it faulty.
Fault codes for Cointra that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F05 | Fan anomaly. | The extractor is not receiving 230 V, it is blocked or not delivering a tachometric signal; the PCB detects a fan fault. Check voltage at the fan connector, free rotation/consumption, and tacho signal/coil continuity. |
| A05 | Fan protection activation. | The extractor protection is activated due to lockout/overcurrent or speed signal inconsistency. Check motor consumption, free rotation, wiring, and rpm/tachometric input reading. |
| F20 | Combustion control anomaly. | An incorrect airflow due to a fan fault prevents maintaining combustion within parameters. Verify that the fan reaches target rpm and flow (tacho signal), as well as air/flue ducts and diaphragm. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
