    Carefully tighten the connection nut and dry the area to rule out that the leak is from a loose joint and not from the valve.

    The key switch turns very stiffly or gets stuck in one position.

    Cause: The internal mechanism has seized up due to sediment or limescale, something common if the tap is not used frequently.

    Try to turn the knob gently; if it doesn't budge, avoid continuing to tighten it to prevent breaking the shaft before deciding on the replacement.

  • 04

    After manually filling the circuit, the pressure suddenly rises more than expected and then gradually decreases.

    Cause: A tap that doesn't close completely continues to let water from the mains pass through even if you think you have closed it.

    Check visually that the knob is in the fully closed position (the one marked as 'closed') and not halfway turned.
