Guide

How to check if it is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the gas valve resolves

The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The boiler locks up as soon as you try to turn it on, with a fault code for ignition failure.

Cause: If the solenoid valves do not open correctly, gas does not reach the burner and the boiler locks out for safety.

Before changing the gas valve, check the ignition electrode and its cable: a spark failure can produce the same symptom.

  • 02

The lockout occurs several times in a row until you reset the boiler.

Cause: A fault in the solenoid valves EV1/EV2 prevents the flame from forming within the safety time, causing repeated lockouts.

Check if the blockage also occurs when manually forcing ignition from the boiler control panel, to rule out that it is the room thermostat.

  • 03

I smell gas near the boiler, especially right after it stops.

Cause: The closure of the solenoid valves is not completely airtight and allows gas to escape after the flame is cut off.

Check the inlet and outlet connections of the gas valve with soapy water before considering it faulty, to rule out a leak in the thread.

  • 04

The boiler works well in some startups and in others it does not start.

Cause: An intermittent fault in one of the solenoid valves causes the gas opening to be irregular.

Check the condition of the electrical connector that powers the gas valve: moisture and corrosion can cause intermittent faults.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
