SIT Gas Valve Body for Junkers Cerapur Comfort ZWBC30-2 C23 - Ref. 87160115000
Gas valve body manufactured by SIT, not by Junkers, although it is installed in Cerapur and Cerapur Comfort boilers. It incorporates a double solenoid valve (EV1 and EV2, 31 VDC) that regulates the pressure and the flow of gas to the burner according to the demand of the boiler. It is replaced when the boiler loses flame, does not modulate the gas, or shows a fault code for ignition.

How to check if the ref. 87160115000 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 87160115000. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the gas valve 87160115000 resolves.
The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler loses the flame during operation and needs to be reset.
Cause: The solenoid valves do not maintain a stable gas flow and the flame goes out by itself.
Check the wiring and connectors of the gas valve: a loose connection causes the same flame cut-off.
- 02
The display shows a fault code related to the gas valve or the burner.
Cause: The PCB detects that the gas valve does not respond to the open or close command it receives.
Note the exact code displayed on the screen; it helps to confirm whether it points to the gas valve or another component before purchasing it.
- 03
The burner does not reach the power requested by the boiler and heats very little.
Cause: A fault in the gas valve regulation limits the gas flow even though the boiler demands more.
Check the incoming gas pressure: if it is low, it may seem like a fault with the gas valve when it is not.
- 04
There is no way to turn on the boiler, it doesn't even try to ignite.
Cause: The valve body does not open either of the two solenoid valves, and gas does not reach the burner.
Check that power is reaching the gas valve at the moment of ignition before replacing it.
Fault codes from Junkers that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| EA | Ignition/ionisation fault: flame not detected. | If the gas valve (body 87160115000) does not open or its coils are damaged, gas does not reach the burner and there is no ionisation signal. Check the voltage at the connector during the ignition attempt and the coil resistance; if voltage is present and it does not open, replace the valve. |
| F0 V 238 | Internal error: gas valve connection cable, gas valve, or control board defective. | The self-check detects a fault in the gas valve circuit/operation (wiring, coils, or body). Verify continuity of the harness and resistance of the coils; if the gas valve test fails, replace the valve 87160115000. |
| FA | After the gas disconnection: the flame is still detected. | Internal leak/defective closure of the gas valve (e.g., EV2) keeps the flame after the stop command. Check ionisation current after shutdown and perform a tightness test on the valve; if it fails, replace the body 87160115000. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
