Immergas Eolo Maior VIP PCB - Bertelli & Partners
When you open the hot water tap, the Immergas Eolo Maior VIP PCB is responsible for controlling the ignition, the modulation of the burner, and the boiler pump. If this part fails, the boiler may not start, become blocked, or behave erratically, displaying fault codes such as E01, E03, or E04. It is compatible with models such as Eolo Maior 24 KW, Eolo Maior 24 KW VIP, and Eolo Extra 24 KW, among others. It should be replaced when these issues are detected or if the boiler does not respond properly.

How to check if ref. 024088 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 024088. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB 024088 resolves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The screen shows a fault code and the boiler remains locked without starting.
Cause: The PCB controls the pressure, the flame, and the temperature. If it detects anything abnormal, it locks the boiler for safety.
Note the exact code and compare it with the fault table of Immergas. It could indicate a problem in another component, not in the PCB.
- 02
Since a power cut or a voltage surge, the boiler does not respond to anything.
Cause: The part of the PCB that receives the current is the most vulnerable to voltage spikes and can burn out without affecting the rest of the boiler.
Check the fuse on the PCB and the circuit breaker of the installation before deciding that the PCB is faulty.
- 03
The domestic hot water works well but the heating does not start, or vice versa.
Cause: The PCB controls the domestic hot water and heating separately, and it is possible for only the relay of one of them to fail.
Make sure that the thermostat is calling for heat and that the three-way valve is moving before blaming the PCB.
- 04
The reset button does absolutely nothing, not even the indicator light blinks.
Cause: If the reset button does not cause any reaction, it is likely that the control electronics are not receiving power or are damaged.
Check that the boiler is receiving 230 V and that the input fuse is intact before replacing the PCB.
Fault codes from Immergas that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| E01 | The boiler does not ignite. | The PCB may not be sending power to the ignition transformer or the gas valve. If the electrode, wiring, and gas are fine and there is no spark or signals from the PCB, the PCB is faulty. |
| E03 | The fan is not working. | If when turning on the boiler the PCB does not send 230 V to the fan, the problem is with the PCB. Check the voltage at the output terminals to the fan; if there is none, the PCB needs to be replaced. |
| E04 | Internal fault of the PCB | The PCB has detected an internal fault. After checking the safety thermostat and the flue pressure switch, the manufacturer recommends replacing the PCB. |
| E15 | Error in the boiler configuration | The PCB does not correctly recognize the boiler. If the recognition wiring, such as that of the flue pressure switch, is fine, the PCB needs to be replaced. |
| E20 | The boiler detects a flame that should not be there. | The PCB detects a flame current that should not exist. If the electrode and wiring are fine, the manufacturer recommends replacing the PCB. |
| E24 | The buttons on the boiler are unresponsive. | If the buttons are functioning mechanically and are not stuck, the problem lies in the reading or management of the PCB. The official solution is to replace the PCB. |
| E31 | Loss of communication with the remote control | If the wiring to terminals 41–44 and the CAR control are fine, the communication loss is due to the PCB. Replace the PCB after checking the polarity and the dedicated line. |
| E37 | The boiler is receiving low voltage. | If the network is within 230 V ±10% and the fuses and cables are fine but the fault persists, the PCB has a fault in measurement or management. Replace the PCB. |
| E44 | The gas valve does not close completely on time. | The PCB does not control the gas valve properly and keeps it partially open for too long. If this happens frequently after checking the modulation and calibration, replace the PCB. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
