  Cause: The mechanism may have lost accuracy with use, especially if the circuit has experienced pressure shocks or repeated drainings.

  Before changing it, bleed the air from the circuit and check the cold pressure: a low reading after bleeding is usually a lack of water, not a faulty pressure gauge.
