Wilo Circulator Pump Cointra Excellent D Micro LN 24 E Ref. 39818451
Circulating pump manufactured by Wilo (model FRSL15/4.1 HE-3 KU C, No. 4516606) that is installed in Cointra and Ferroli boilers of the Low NOx series. It moves the water of the heating circuit between the boiler and the radiators. It is replaced when it gets stuck, makes noise, leaks from the shaft, or stops providing pressure.

How to check if the ref. 39818451 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 39818451. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the circulation pump 39818451 resolves.
The circulation pump circulates the water in the heating circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler ignites and the burner works, but the radiators do not heat up or take a long time to do so.
Cause: The circulator is not moving the water in the heating circuit, so the heat is not reaching the radiators even though the boiler starts up properly.
Touch the body of the pump while the boiler is running: if it is cold and you don't feel any vibration, it is not circulating; also make sure that the circuit valves are open.
- 02
The pump makes a buzzing or vibrating noise that it didn't have before.
Cause: It could be the bearing or the rotor worn out, or trapped air in the circuit that makes the motor work harder.
Bleed the air from the heating circuit using the bleed valve before considering that the pump is faulty; if the noise persists, it is likely to be the bearing.
- 03
There is water or remnants of rust and lime at the base of the pump.
Cause: The mechanical seal of the shaft wears out over time and allows water to escape outside.
Dry the area well and check again in a few hours if moisture reappears; an active leak confirms that the seal is damaged.
- 04
The pump does not start after being idle for a summer, it neither makes noise nor spins.
Cause: The rotor gets stuck due to sediment when it hasn't moved for months, which is common at the end of the hot season.
With the boiler disconnected, try turning the central screw of the rotor (if it has one) with a flat screwdriver to unjam it before replacing the pump.
Fault codes for Cointra that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| A03 | Overtemperature protection activation. | If the circulating pump is blocked, not rotating, or not delivering flow, the supply line overheats quickly and triggers the protection. Check the voltage and consumption on the pump, rotor rotation, and bleed air from the circuit to confirm lack of circulation. |
| F43 | Intervention of the heat exchanger protection. | The absence of circulation in the primary due to a faulty/stuck pump causes local overheating of the heat exchanger. Check the electrical supply and rotation of the pump, bleed the circuit, and ensure flow reappears when it is unblocked. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
