How to check if ref. 61400159 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 61400159. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the safety valve 61400159 resolves.
The safety valve releases pressure when the circuit exceeds its setting. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
Water is continuously leaking from the discharge tube, even when the boiler is cold.
Cause: The valve seat does not close completely, either due to scale or wear, and allows water to pass without the need to bleed.
Measure the pressure of the circuit when cold: if it is clearly high, lower it first and see if the dripping disappears before considering the valve faulty.
- 02
The valve bleeds just when the boiler starts heating.
Cause: The expansion vessel does not absorb the water expansion well, and the pressure suddenly rises to the trip point.
Touch the expansion vessel while it heats up: if you don't notice a temperature difference between the top and bottom, check the vessel before replacing the gas valve.
- 03
The circuit loses pressure over time and needs to be refilled every few weeks.
Cause: An intermittent drip from the valve, which dries between bleedings, is gradually emptying the circuit without being noticeable at first glance.
Check under the flue outlet for any limescale or dry water marks: it's a sign that it is leaking even if you don't see it now.
- 04
The bleed lever has become stiff or does not return properly to its position.
Cause: The mechanism gets stuck if it hasn't been activated for a while and limescale builds up on the seat.
With the cold circuit, operate the lever a couple of times to see if it releases and closes properly before replacing the part.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
