Flexible Hose Expansion Vessel - Ciao S 24 CAI - Ref. R10025188
The flexible hose for the expansion vessel is a part of the Ciao S 24 CAI boiler. Its function is to absorb the increase in water volume when heated, thus preventing the pressure from rising dangerously. When this part fails, you will notice that the pressure fluctuates sharply and the safety valve may leak. This hose is compatible with boilers from the Ciao, City, Exclusive, and Mynute ranges, among others. It should be replaced when you observe these symptoms of pressure instability.

How to check if the part number R10025188 is the piece for your boiler.
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference R10025188. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the expansion vessel R10025188 resolves.
The expansion vessel absorbs the expansion of water when heated. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
You see a damp stain or dripping in the area where the expansion vessel connects to the boiler, with no leaks in other points.
Cause: The fitting of the hose is leaking because the O-ring is dry or the metal braid is damaged due to vibrations.
Dry the area well, turn on the boiler, and check with a flashlight if the dripping appears at the straight fitting or at the elbow before confirming the leak.
- 02
The fitting is loose or continues to leak even when you tighten it with the wrench.
Cause: The thread or the O-ring of the fitting is damaged and does not seal properly, even when tightened.
Check if the O-ring is visible, cracked, or missing, and make sure that the fitting goes in straight without forcing it before replacing the hose.
- 03
When looking at the outer braid, you see it bulging, oxidized, or with stains at some point.
Cause: The metal braid protects the inner tube, and if it degrades due to age or corrosion, it loses strength and may give way under pressure.
Inspect the entire length of the hose, not just the fittings: a bulged braid in the center also needs to be replaced.
- 04
The pressure in the heating circuit gradually decreases without you seeing any water on the floor.
Cause: A small leak in the hose can fall inside the boiler without dripping outside.
Wipe a cloth or tissue over the fitting and the braided hose and check for moisture before looking for the pressure loss elsewhere.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
