How to check if it is the part for your boiler

Symptoms that require diagnosis in the hydraulic group

The hydraulic group includes the valve, the by-pass, and the water connections. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  You notice humidity or a small water drip right in the area of the domestic hot water circuit, without being able to see exactly where it is coming from.

  Cause: The plastic support cracks and loses tightness over time and heat.

  Dry the area well, turn on the domestic hot water, and check with a flashlight if the support has cracks or is leaking drops from any fitting.

  The hot water comes out in bursts, with the temperature rising and falling even though the tap is left open constantly.

  Cause: The support may have displaced the flow sensor or the domestic NTC sensor, affecting its flow reading.

  Check that the flow sensor or the NTC sensor fits securely in its support housing, without any play, before replacing the part.

  There is lime or dirt accumulated around the fittings of this support.

  Cause: The limescale in the circuit deposits at the joints and forces the plastic until it gives way.

  If there is a lot of limescale in the area, first consider descaling the circuit before declaring the part as broken.
