How to check if it is the part for your boiler
The part reference, model, and equipment revision must be verified against the manufacturer's documentation.
- Look for the code 873791898A on the label or bag of your spare part and the marking OC-118 on the printed circuit board.
- Check if your PCB has a separate green module and compare its label: 873792116A and 08 15 38 3805.
- Turn it over: on the back there should be a traceability label with 873791679A… and SV6.0.
- Check the data plate of your boiler to see that the model is Junkers ZWB30/32 1 A23, the one you have registered.
- if they match, call us at 911 17 77 77 with the model of your boiler.
Symptoms that require diagnosis in the junkers
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and the display shows EA.
Cause: Flame not detected: gas valve closed, insufficient gas pressure, faulty electrodes or ignition cable, or blocked flue.
Check that the gas valve is open and the gas pressure. Inspect the electrodes and their cable. If everything is fine, have a technician check it.
- 02
The display shows F0.
Cause: Internal fault: faulty electrical contacts or ignition cables, or defective PCB.
Check the electrical contacts and the ignition cables. If the fault code persists, have a technician replace the PCB.
- 03
The boiler stops due to excessive temperature and the display shows E9.
Cause: The temperature limiter of the heat block or exhaust gases has tripped.
Check the service pressure, the pump, and the fuses on the PCB, and bleed the unit. If the fault code returns, have a technician check it.
- 04
The boiler continues to detect flame after cutting off the gas, and FA appears on the display.
Cause: Gas valve that does not close tightly, dirty condensate siphon, or defective electrodes.
Check the gas valve, clean the condensate siphon, and inspect the electrodes. If the issue persists, have a technician check it.
- 05
The display shows CC: the boiler does not detect the external sensor.
Cause: Interruption in the external sensor or its cable.
Check that the outdoor sensor and its cable have no interruptions. If they are fine, have a technician check it.
- 06
A8 appears on the display: the boiler is not communicating with the controller.
Cause: Communication interrupted with the bus: connection cable of the regulator or thermostat loose, cut, or poorly connected.
Check the connection cable of the regulator or thermostat and its terminals. If the cable is fine, have a technician check it.
Junkers fault codes that require diagnosis
| Code | Fault | Technical checks |
|---|---|---|
| EA | Flame not detected when igniting. | Check that the gas valve is open, the gas pressure, and the electrodes with their cable. If everything is fine and the fault code persists, the PCB is suspect: have a technician check it. |
| F0 | Internal fault of the PCB. | Check the electrical contacts and the ignition wires. If the fault code persists, the PCB is suspect: have a technician replace it. |
| FA | The flame is still detected after the gas disconnection. | Check the gas valve, clean the condensate siphon, and inspect the electrodes. If the issue persists, have a technician check it. |
| E9 | The temperature limiter of the heat block or exhaust gases has been triggered. | Check the service pressure, the operation of the pump and the fuses on the PCB, and bleed the unit. If the fault code returns, have a technician check it. |
| A8 | Communication interrupted with the regulator or thermostat bus. | Check the connection cable of the regulator or thermostat and its terminals. If the cable is fine, have a technician check it. |
| CC | The PCB does not detect the outdoor temperature sensor. | Check the outdoor sensor and its cable for any interruptions. It only appears with the outdoor sensor installed. |
| d3 | The external controller has been activated: bridge 8-9 or bridge PR-P0 is missing, or the limiter TB1 is open. | Check the terminal strip, the bridges 8-9 and PR-P0, and the limiter TB1 before suspecting the PCB. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
