Nova Florida Fondital Vela Eco Compact PCB Ref. 6SCHEMOD23
The Nova Florida Fondital Vela Eco Compact PCB is a crucial component that manages the ignition, burner modulation, pump, and safety features of the boiler. When it fails, the boiler may not start, go into lockout, or exhibit erratic operation. Users may notice the fixed red LED 2, indicating a burner lockout, or the fixed yellow LED 1, signaling a lockout due to an anomaly in the smoke aspiration/evacuation. This PCB is compatible with the Panarea Eco Compact CTFS 24 Low NOx and Vela Eco Compact CTFS 24 Low NOx boilers, among others. It should be replaced upon detecting these fault symptoms.

How to check if ref. 6SCHEMOD23 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 6SCHEMOD23. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB 6SCHEMOD23 resolves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler won't start and no indicators light up, as if it has no power.
Cause: The PCB distributes power to the rest of the components, and if its power input fails, everything loses voltage.
Check the electrical panel and the main boiler fuse before replacing the PCB.
- 02
The circulation pump never stops, not even when the boiler is turned off.
Cause: A relay on the PCB that controls the pump has become stuck in the closed position.
Disconnect the boiler from the power supply for a few seconds and check if the pump stops when power is restored; if it keeps running, it indicates an issue with the PCB.
- 03
The boiler turns off by itself from time to time and needs to be reset, without a clear pattern.
Cause: The electronics lose stability and cut off the supply as a safety measure, even though there is no actual fault in the rest of the installation.
Keep a record of when it occurs (with more or less heat demand) before deciding it's the PCB.
- 04
A different fault code appears every few days, with no apparent relation between them.
Cause: The PCB is intermittently failing to read several inputs, not just one.
Note each code that appears and the time it occurs: if they are different codes and without a pattern, it points more to the PCB than to a specific component.
Fault codes from Fondital that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| LED 2 solid red | Burner lockout (the boiler goes into lockout). | The modulation PCB may fail (does not supply/manage ignition or does not detect ionisation), causing the burner to lock out. Check: power supply to the PCB and outputs to the ignition transformer/gas valve and ionisation signal before replacing. |
| LED 1 steady yellow | Lockout due to anomaly in flue gas aspiration/exhaust (CTFS, air/flue gas pressure switch not consenting). | If the modulation PCB is faulty, it may not correctly manage the pressure switch/fan circuit and cause this lockout. Check the continuity of the pressure switch, silicone tubes, and, on the PCB, the inputs/outputs of the pressure switch control circuit before replacing. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
