Pressure Switch Code 0020016532 - Isofast, Isomax, Thema and Other Boilers
When you open the tap or turn on the heating, the pressure sensor 0020016532 from Isofast, Isomax, Thema, and other boilers is responsible for measuring the circuit pressure and sending the information to the control board. If this part fails, you may notice incorrect readings and lockouts due to false low pressure, in addition to the fault code F9. This sensor is compatible with models such as ThemaClassic F 25 E, C 25 E, F 30 E, C 24 E1, F 24 E1, and Isofast F 35 E, among others. It is recommended to replace it if you experience these symptoms or if the boiler has operational issues related to pressure.

How to check if ref. S5720500 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference S5720500. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure sensor S5720500 resolves.
The pressure sensor measures the water pressure for the electronics. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler locks out with a pressure fault warning even though the pressure gauge shows normal pressure.
Cause: The sensor sends an incorrect signal to the PCB, which believes that there is not enough pressure to ignite.
Compare the reading on the display with the needle of the analog manometer before relying on the signal from the sensor.
- 02
The screen displays a pressure fault code that appears and disappears without reason.
Cause: The sensor has an unstable signal and sends erratic readings to the control board.
Check if the fault coincides with vibrations or knocks in the pipe; if it disappears when you touch the connector, suspect the contact rather than the sensor.
- 03
The boiler does not start even though the circuit has just been refilled and the air has been bled.
Cause: If the sensor does not transmit the signal to the PCB, it does not give the ignition command for pressure safety.
Check that the connector of the sensor is properly inserted and free of moisture or oxidation before replacing it.
- 04
The pressure icon or indicator on the display remains fixed at a value that does not change even when the system is bled or filled.
Cause: A jammed sensor or one with a damaged diaphragm stops responding to the actual pressure changes in the circuit.
Raise and lower the pressure by filling or bleeding a little and check if the value on the screen moves; if nothing changes, the sensor is the first suspect.
Fault codes Hermann that this part solves
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F9 | The water pressure sensor is not working. | The pressure sensor is not sending a correct signal to the control board, which interprets that the water pressure is abnormal and blocks the boiler with the fault code F9. To check if the problem is with the sensor: measure the signal it sends and check the wiring. Compare the readings with an external manometer. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
