Grundfos Circulating Pump Calydra Comfort 28 FF Ref. 61301964
If you notice cold radiators, strange noises, or overheating in your heating system, a technical diagnosis should confirm if you need the Grundfos Calydra Comfort 28 FF circulator pump Ref. 61301964. This pump is responsible for moving water through the heating circuit, ensuring proper circulation. When it fails, symptoms such as blockages due to lack of circulation occur. It is compatible with boilers from the MX2 range, such as the MX2 and the Compy MX2 24 FF, as well as with the B60 30 BFFI model, among others. A technician must confirm through diagnosis whether it needs to be replaced upon detecting these issues to restore the system's operation.

Symptoms that require diagnosis in the circulator pump 61301964
The circulation pump circulates the water in the heating circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The burner ignites but the boiler does not heat or heats very little.
Cause: The pump does not move enough water through the internal circuit.
Check that the circuit shut-off valves are open and that the pressure gauge shows normal pressure before assuming that the pump is faulty.
- 02
Buzzing or gurgling noise when starting the heating
Cause: There is trapped air in the pump body or the rotor is not spinning correctly.
Bleed the air through the screw on the front part of the pump.
- 03
Water leak from the body or shaft of the pump
Cause: The shaft seal wears out with use and stops sealing properly.
Also check the gaskets of the flanges before considering that the pump is faulty.
- 04
The pump does not start after stopping the boiler in summer.
Cause: The rotor gets stuck due to not being used for a long time.
Try to manually unlock the shaft through the rear slot before purchasing a new one.
Chaffoteaux fault codes that require diagnosis
| Code | Fault | Technical checks |
|---|---|---|
| 60-70-80 | Lack of water circulation | The circulating pump/air separator (stuck, seized, with air or without power) prevents the primary flow and triggers this code; check 230 V at the pump, bleed the circuit, and release/confirm shaft rotation from the front cap. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
