Cause: The water is not circulating properly because the pump rotor is not spinning.
Touch the pump to see if it vibrates or is hot: if you don't notice any movement, try to unlock it with the front screw before replacing it.

The pump makes a buzzing sound but does not start.
Cause: The rotor is stuck, probably due to limescale or rust accumulated after a period of disuse.
With the boiler turned off, use a flat screwdriver on the front screw to try to turn the shaft and release it.

There is rattling or vibration in the area of the pump when the heating is turned on.
Cause: It could be due to air in the circuit or because the rotor is rubbing unevenly.
Bleed the radiators and the pump bleeder before considering it a spare part issue.

There is moisture or dripping at the base of the pump.
Cause: The shaft seal is worn out and no longer seals the water properly.
Dry the area and check in cold if the dripping returns after a while of use, to ensure that it is coming from the shaft and not from a nearby fitting.
