The pump does not start, nor can it be heard running when the heating demands heat.
Cause: It may not be receiving power, the winding may be damaged, or the rotor may be stuck.
Check if there is power at the pump connector and that the speed selector is in a valid position.

The pump makes noise or vibrates when operating.
Cause: This is usually due to air in the circuit or a worn bearing.
Bleed the heating circuit from the highest point of the installation before considering the pump as faulty.

The heating is not warming up even though the burner ignites normally.
Cause: The heat remains in the boiler because the pump does not circulate the water through the radiators.
Compare if the radiators that are farther away are cold while the ones closer to the boiler are heating.

The rotor gets stuck after a long shutdown, like at the end of summer.
Cause: Sediments accumulate on the shaft when the pump has not been running for a while.
With the boiler cold, try to manually free the shaft using the central screw before purchasing a new pump.

There is a water leak from the pump shaft.
Cause: The mechanical seal that seals the shaft has lost its tightness with use.
Check that the leak is coming from the pump body and not from a nearby fitting or seal before replacing it.
