Guide

How to check if ref. 190717 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 190717. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the safety valve 190717 resolves

The safety valve releases pressure when the circuit exceeds its setting. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

It is leaking or continuously bleeding water without the boiler exerting pressure.

Cause: The seat does not seal and allows water to escape even with the circuit below the 3 bar setting.

Check the pre-charge pressure of the expansion vessel when cold before replacing the gas valve: a vessel without air causes the circuit to easily increase in pressure.

  • 02

Water drains every time the boiler heats up, just when it reaches 3 bar.

Cause: It is its safety function, but if it trips frequently, it indicates that the circuit is operating very close to the set limit.

Measure the pressure when cold and hot with the boiler's manometer; if it rises from 1 to more than 3 bar when heating, check the expansion vessel before replacing the gas valve.

  • 03

After firing, it does not seal again and continues to leak water.

Cause: The seat remains with a particle trapped after the discharge and the closure is not airtight.

Pull the bleed lever a couple more times to try to remove the dirt from the seat before declaring it faulty.

  • 04

The circuit gradually loses pressure and needs to be topped up every few days.

Cause: An internal leak in the valve allows water to escape without any visible dripping.

Check for recent moisture in the discharge pipe or on the floor under the boiler before concluding that it is the gas valve.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
