The boiler tries to ignite several times, you can hear clicks, but the burner does not light.
Cause: The ignition unit does not produce the necessary spark, although it continues to send the ignition command.
Check that the ignition electrode is not dirty with soot and that the spark gap is correct before considering that the control board is faulty.

The boiler ignites for a moment and then locks out with a flame detection fault.
Cause: The circuit that detects the flame in the unit does not recognize the signal, although the burner does ignite.
Check that the cable and the flame detection electrode are properly connected and free of rust before replacing the control board.

The boiler locks out and needs to be reset manually every time an attempt is made to turn it on.
Cause: The lock/reset function in the control unit cuts off the gas supply after several failed ignition attempts.
Note how many attempts it makes before locking: if it locks on the first attempt without clicks, suspect the power supply wiring of the control unit.

There is no spark visible or audible at the electrode when starting the boiler.
Cause: The boiler is not sending the ignition current to the electrode, so there is no spark to initiate combustion.
With the boiler turned off and without power, visually check that the high voltage cable to the electrode is not broken or disconnected.
