Accessories for aerothermal systems in Madrid: installation of hydraulic components
We supply and install all the hydraulic and control accessories needed for an aerothermal system to operate safely and efficiently: valves, expansion vessels, filters, pumps, and thermostats. We also complete third-party installations that require component upgrades.
An air-to-water heat pump is the heart of the system, but its proper functioning depends on the correct selection, sizing, and installation of hydraulic and control accessories. An inadequate accessory—an undersized expansion vessel, a 3-way valve with the incorrect actuator, or a missing filter—can cause anything from noise and performance losses to serious faults in the compressor or the heat exchanger of the outdoor unit.
At Uniclima, we select and supply accessories compatible with each heat pump model, following the manufacturer's technical requirements. We also cater to installations carried out by third parties that need to complete or improve their components: it is common for older installations to lack a magnetic filter or for the original expansion vessel to have lost pressure and require replacement.
The main accessories we install and maintain include:
- Válvulas de 3 vías desviadoras (motorised or with electrothermal actuator) to select between the heating circuit and the DHW storage tank, with configurable priority from the controller.
- Vaso de expansión de membrana for the heating circuit: absorbs the variations in water volume when heated and prevents the safety valve from triggering. Sized according to the total volume of the circuit (standard UNE-EN 12828).
- Automatic air vents at the highest points of the circuit to eliminate the air that would degrade the flow and damage the circulating pump.
- Magnetic particle filters (e.g., Fernox TF1, Spirovent) to capture magnetite and suspended metallic debris that deteriorate the plate heat exchanger of the heat pump.
- Bombas circuladoras de alta eficiencia (Class A, modulating according to flow) for the secondary circuit when the internal pump of the unit does not have sufficient pressure.
- Thermostats and modulating controllersWiFi thermostats compatible (Tado, Netatmo, Honeywell T6) or brand-specific ones (Daikin Madoka, Mitsubishi MELCloud) for zone control and remote programming.
- Anti-legionella kits: electric backup heater in the DHW storage tank programmed to reach 65 °C weekly, with temperature sensor and control from the main regulator.
Frequently Asked Questions
What accessory prevents legionella in aerothermal storage tanks?
Can I connect a smart thermostat to my existing heat pump?
Why is the magnetic filter important in a closed circuit heating system?
