Can I connect a smart thermostat to my existing heat pump?
It depends on the model. Modern heat pumps (Daikin Altherma 3, Mitsubishi Ecodan PUHZ) offer digital communication via bus (Modbus, OpenTherm, or proprietary protocol) that allows the integration of thermostats such as Tado, Netatmo, or Honeywell T6 with ambient temperature control and heating curve.
