Common symptoms and faults

    The boiler does not turn on, it does not respond to any control or display.

    Cause: The PCB controls the ignition and communication with other components; if it fails, the unit does not operate.

    Check that power is reaching the boiler and that the fuse on the PCB is not blown before requesting the diagnosis.

    An intermittent fault code appears or the boiler resets itself.

    Cause: Damaged components due to overheating or humidity on the PCB cause erratic readings and interruptions in the control signals.

    Note the exact code and whether the fault is constant or only occurs under certain conditions before sending the PCB for diagnosis.

    It smells burnt or there is a dark or charred area on the circuit.

    Cause: A short-circuited component, such as a relay or a capacitor, heats up and leaves visible marks on the PCB.

    Take a photo of the affected area and locate it on the PCB: define the diagnosis before completely disassembling it.

    The boiler turns on but does not follow the commands from the thermostat or the programmer.

    Cause: The microprocessor or the output stage of the PCB does not correctly process the control signals it receives.

    Check that the thermostat has batteries and that the bus wiring is not loose before assuming that the fault is in the PCB.
