Types of aerothermal systems we repair and install
Monoblock
The entire refrigerant circuit remains in the outdoor unit. The connection to the interior is only hydraulic. Simpler installation, no need for a fluorinated gas installer for the refrigerant side.
Bibloc (split)
Outdoor unit + indoor hydro module. The refrigerant circuit is distributed between both. Allows for better aesthetic integration and greater flexibility in location.
High temperature
Operates at flow temperatures of 65-80 °C. Allows the use of existing radiators in boiler replacements without additional work.
Hybrid
Combine a heat pump with a backup boiler (gas or electric). The system selects the most efficient source based on the outside temperature and current energy cost.

What is aerothermal energy and how does it work?
Aerothermal is a climate control system with an air-to-water heat pump that extracts energy from the outside air to heat water for heating and domestic hot water. A single unit covers heating, cooling (when the equipment is reversible), and DHW.
Is it cost-effective to switch from a gas boiler to aerothermal?
It depends on consumption, insulation, and the electricity tariff. Aerothermal systems have a typical COP of 3 to 4: they produce 3-4 thermal kWh for each electrical kWh consumed. The initial investment is higher than a boiler, but the operational energy cost is usually lower.
Does aerothermal work in Madrid in winter?
Yes. Current heat pumps maintain useful performance at outdoor temperatures of -15 °C or lower, depending on the manufacturer. In Madrid, the usual minimum temperatures do not compromise operation, although the COP decreases compared to average temperatures.
Do I need new radiators to install aerothermal?
Not always. Aerothermal systems work better with underfloor heating or low-temperature radiators. If the existing radiators are oversized, they can be retained. If not, a preliminary study is conducted and those that do not meet the requirements are replaced.
How long does the installation of an aerothermal system take?
A standard installation (outdoor unit + hydromodule + DHW accumulator) is completed in 2 to 4 days depending on the necessary modifications to the hydraulic circuit and the location of the outdoor unit.
What maintenance does aerothermal energy require?
Annual inspection of the refrigeration circuit, working pressures, analysis of the quality of the fluid in the hydraulic circuit, checking the plate heat exchanger, and verification of the control parameters.
Does the aerothermal system make noise?
The outdoor unit emits noise similar to that of an air conditioning outdoor unit: between 45 and 55 dB(A) at 1 metre depending on the equipment and operating conditions. Proper placement and mounts with damping reduce transmission to the dwelling and neighbours.
What technical warranty do the manufacturers offer?
Each manufacturer sets their conditions; typically, there is a 2 to 5-year warranty on the equipment, conditioned on the installation and maintenance being carried out by an authorised installation company.
Can I combine aerothermal with solar panels?
Yes. It is a common combination: the photovoltaic panels supply part of the electrical consumption of the heat pump and improve the overall performance of the system.
