How to check if ref. ST0004642 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference ST0004642. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the 3-way valve ST0004642 resolves.
The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
There is no hot water coming from the tap, but the heating works, or vice versa.
Cause: The motor does not move the internal shutter to the correct circuit, so the water continues through the previous path.
Turn off the boiler and cut the power. Try to turn the motor shaft by hand to see if it moves freely or is stuck.
- 02
A puddle or dripping appears under the gas valve, even though the boiler continues to operate.
Cause: The internal seals of the valve wear out over time and due to limescale, allowing water to pass through the body.
Dry the area and observe for a few minutes with the boiler running: if the dripping comes from the body of the gas valve and not from a nearby joint, confirm the leak in the part.
- 03
The boiler takes too long to provide hot water or delivers it lukewarm, as if it were mixing circuits.
Cause: The shutter does not close completely on one side and allows some cold water or heating circuit water to pass through.
Check the temperature at the tap closest to the boiler: if it improves over time, it may just be limescale in the circuit, not the gas valve.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
