Fault in the flame relay (flame relay stuck/not working). | The flame relay is integrated into the control board; if it sticks or does not switch, the PCB generates the 04. Check with ignition demand if the relay switches on the board (audible/measurement) and if not, replace the board.
Fault in the safety circuit (boiler reset). | The safety circuit is managed by the PCB; an internal fault prevents the reset and triggers 05. Check the external safety chain; if it is correct and the PCB does not close the circuit, the PCB is defective.
Power failure in gas solenoid valve(s) / fault in the safety relay (energised). | The output to the gas EV goes through the safety relay on the PCB; if that relay/output fails, no voltage is present and 09 appears. Check 230 VAC between common and outputs to EV on the PCB during demand; if there is no voltage with pressure switches OK, PCB is faulty.
Ignition lockout (lack of gas or spark). | In NR-15/20 the ignition transformer is integrated/controlled by the PCB; if the PCB does not deliver a spark to the electrodes, 12 is triggered. Check for the presence of high voltage at ignition; if there is no spark and correct power supply, replace the PCB.
Safety fuse open during operation. | The supervision of the safety fuse is carried out by the PCB; an electronic fault can interpret/produce an opening and generate 16. Check the physical fuse; if it is correct and 16 persists, fault in the PCB circuit (replace).
