  Before changing the PCB, check with a multimeter that there is mains voltage at its input terminals.

  Lockouts or fault codes appear that are not related to any specific component of the boiler.

  Cause: The PCB mismanages the readings from the sensors and locks the boiler due to a misinterpretation, not because of an actual fault in them.

  Note the exact code and the moment it appears, and discard NTC, pressure switch, and flame detection electrode.

  The pump or the gas valve does not activate even though the PCB appears to be on.

  Cause: An internal relay on the PCB that does not close the contact prevents current from reaching those components even though the rest of the electronics are functioning.

  With the boiler calling for heat, listen for the click of the relay activating before assuming the pump or the gas valve is faulty.

  The boiler turns on but goes through short cycles, stopping and starting again repeatedly.

  Cause: The PCB intermittently loses the signal from a safety sensor and cuts off the gas supply as a precaution.

  Check if the cuts coincide with vibrations or with the heating of the boiler, and verify that the connectors on the PCB are properly fitted.
