How to check if it is the part for your boiler
The part reference, model, and equipment revision must be verified against the manufacturer's documentation.
- Look for the code 9260102905114 and the designation EA-FFI5114 (it can also be written as EA-FFI 5114).
- Check the second marked code, 9260102905136, and the brand THERMO WATT.
- In the breakdown of the Linda+ 28/60 CS CPA, there is another board, the EB C-MI/FFI (L953083): yours should say EA-FFI. If your boiler is not the CPA, compare the codes on the PCB.
- Check the fuse: our unit has "FAST FUSE2AT" on the top plate (and 2 A T on the subcomponent).
- if they match, call us at 911 17 77 77 with your boiler model and we will reserve it for you.
Symptoms that require diagnosis on the PCB
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler locks after several resets (fault code 304).
Cause: More than five resets in fifteen minutes: the boiler locks out to protect itself.
Do not continue resetting. Have a technician check it to find the underlying fault.
- 02
The boiler does not ignite and shows 501 (absence of flame).
Cause: It does not detect flame when starting: ignition, electrode, or gas.
Have a technician check it if it returns after several resets.
- 03
The boiler shows 118 (problem with the primary circuit sensor).
Cause: Pressure sensor or its connection to the PCB.
Have a technician check it.
- 04
The boiler shows 305, 306, or 307 (fault in the main PCB).
Cause: Internal fault of the main PCB.
Have a technician check it, as it may need to replace the PCB.
- 05
The boiler is locking with fault code 80.
Cause: Overheating: the reheating safety is activated and the boiler is locked.
Have a technician check it.
- 06
The fault code 60 appears.
Cause: Flame detection circuit fault. One table attributes it to the PCB.
Have a technician check it.
- 07
The fault code 30 appears.
Cause: Communication fault with the main PCB.
Have a technician check it.
Fault codes THERMOWATT that require diagnosis
| Code | Fault | Technical checks |
|---|---|---|
| 118 | Problem with the primary circuit sensor (flow). | Check the supply sensor or its connection to the PCB. Have a technician review it. |
| 302 | Communication error between the display and the PCB. | Point to the wiring between the display and the PCB. Have a technician check it. |
| 303 | Internal fault of the main PCB. | Internal fault of the PCB. Have a technician check it, as it may need to be replaced. |
| 304 | Lockout: more than five resets in fifteen minutes. | It is not a fault per se: the boiler is protecting itself. The underlying issue needs to be identified and it should not be reset repeatedly. Have a technician check it. |
| 305 | Internal fault of the main PCB. | Point to the main PCB. Have a technician check it, as it may need to be replaced. |
| 306 | Internal fault of the main PCB. | Point to the main PCB. Have a technician check it, as it may need to be replaced. |
| 307 | Internal fault of the main PCB. | Point to the main PCB. Have a technician check it, as it may need to be replaced. |
| 501 | Flame absence: the boiler does not detect flame when starting and locks out. | It is usually related to the ignition, the electrode, or the gas. Have a technician check it if it returns after several resets. |
| 502 | Flame detected with the gas valve closed. | It could be the ionization electrode or the PCB, which reads a flame that does not exist. Have a technician check it. |
| 504 | Flame shutdown during operation. | It is usually a weak ionization: electrode, ground connection, or flue gas return. Have a technician check it if it recurs. |
| 30 | Communication fault with the main PCB. | Point to the PCB. Have a technician check it. |
| 60 | Flame detection circuit fault. | According to the fault code table, it could be a problem with the PCB. Have a technician check it. |
| 70 | Overtemperature without lock: the flow sensor exceeds 85 °C, but the boiler does not lock. | Have a technician check it if it repeats. Point to the supply sensor or the heating circuit. |
| 70-80 | Safety function due to ignition failure. | It could be a gas shortage, an open ionization circuit, or a faulty sensor. Have a technician check it. |
| 80 | Safety position due to overheating: the boiler is locked. | It could be the safety thermostat that is open. Have a technician check it. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
