Boiler Thermomanometer VMW 242/2-3 - VUW 242/2-3
Dual scale thermometer for boiler, with copper capillary and copper bulb sensor. The dial indicates temperature up to 120 °C and pressure from 0 to 4 bar, with a green working zone between 1 and 2 bar and a red mark near 3 bar. It is replaced when the needle does not respond, the glass is broken, or the reading is no longer reliable.

Can't see your model or have questions? The printed reference takes precedence. How to check it · Send us a photo via WhatsApp.
How to check if the part number 101270 is the one for your boiler.
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 101270. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure gauge 101270 solves.
The manometer shows the pressure of the boiler circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The pressure gauge does not move or stays at the same point.
Cause: The bulb or the internal bellows of the manometer has lost the fluid that moves the needle, so it does not respond to pressure changes.
Bleed a radiator and use the filling key to check if the actual system pressure rises and falls; if the installation responds but the needle does not move, it is the thermometer.
- 02
The pressure does not enter the green zone after bleeding the boiler.
Cause: This is usually an installation issue, such as insufficient water or incomplete bleeding, not with the thermometer itself.
Fill with the filling key up to 1-1.5 bar when cold and bleed the high radiators before suspecting the part.
- 03
The glass is broken or scratched, and the dial cannot be read.
Cause: It is a mechanical damage of the thermomanometer itself, due to impact or wear, unrelated to the installation.
Measure the thread diameter and the capillary length of your current part before ordering the spare part, so that it fits perfectly.
- 04
The capillary of the bulb is bent, broken, or leaking.
Cause: The copper capillary transports the fluid that inflates the bellows and moves the needle; if it bends excessively or breaks, it stops transmitting the signal.
Check the capillary path behind the boiler and look for marked bends or liquid residues before declaring the part as unusable.
- 05
The temperature reading does not change even though the boiler is hot.
Cause: The bulb sensor no longer accurately transmits the heat from the circuit, typical of a damaged capillary.
Measure with a contact thermometer on the supply pipe before replacing the part, so you can rule out that it is the installation.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
