Complete boilers in Madrid: types, installation, and technical service
A complete boiler integrates the body, burner, and control board into a single unit. We install, maintain, and repair combi boilers, condensing boilers, and low NOx boilers in Madrid and the Corredor del Henares. Our own technicians hold gas and PF-II refrigeration licenses.
What is a complete boiler?
In the current market, there are three main families coexisting according to usage and environmental regulations. The calderas mixtas They generate heating and domestic hot water in a single unit, eliminating the need for a separate storage tank. The condensing boilers They recover the latent heat from the exhaust gases and achieve efficiencies of 95–109% over LHV; they are mandatory in new installations according to the RITE. The calderas bajo NOx They comply with the nitrogen oxide emission limits required by the Madrid Low Emission Zone (ZBE) and are a requirement for obtaining the installation legalization in the city.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a complete boiler and a single boiler body?
The "boiler body" is solely the heat exchanger: the assembly of tubes or plates where the water absorbs the energy from combustion. It does not include the burner or control. It is used in industrial installations or refurbishments where the existing burner is utilised. The complete boiler incorporates all three components—body, burner, and control board—into a single ready-to-install unit, which is common in residential and tertiary-use buildings in Madrid.
What type of complete boiler is the most efficient?
The condensing boiler is the most efficient available for natural gas today. By recovering the latent heat from combustion vapours, its seasonal efficiency exceeds 95% (based on LCV), compared to 80–87% for a conventional boiler. To maximise that saving, it is advisable to combine it with a low-temperature distribution system such as underfloor heating or fan-coils. In standard residential installations with radiators, the typical savings over a boiler from the 2000s is around 25–35%.
Do I need any certificate or paperwork to install a gas boiler?
Yes. In Spain, the installation of gas boilers must be carried out by an authorised installation company (category EG or IG, according to the Gas Installations Regulation RD 919/2006). Upon completion of the installation, a Gas Installation Certificate is issued, which the supplying company requires to activate the supply. Our technicians hold the required gas installer license, and we handle all the paperwork: certificate, registration with the distributor, and communication to the industry if applicable.
