Beretta Kompakt 22 C A I PCB Ref. R2949
If your boiler does not start, locks out, or exhibits erratic behavior, you may need the Beretta Kompakt 22 C A I PCB. This control board is responsible for ignition, burner modulation, the pump, and the safety features of the boiler. When it fails, you may see fault codes 51, 52, or 53 on the display. It is compatible with several models, including the Kompakt 22 C.A.I, Kompakt 22 C.S.I, and those from the Mynute range, among others. It is recommended to replace it upon detecting symptoms of malfunction.

How to check if ref. R2949 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference R2949. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB R2949 resolves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler is completely dead: neither the display nor any indicator lights up.
Cause: The PCB distributes power to all the components of the boiler; if its input stage fails, none of them receive current.
Check the fuse on the PCB and ensure that the mains terminal block has 230V before considering the PCB faulty.
- 02
A fault code appears on the display that reappears immediately after resetting.
Cause: The PCB constantly monitors the sensors and locks the boiler as soon as it detects a reading out of range.
Write down the exact code and compare it with your model's manual: there are sensor or pressure codes that do not depend on the PCB.
- 03
The boiler starts, heats for a moment, and then shuts off without any apparent reason.
Cause: An intermittent fault in the PCB can cause the burner to shut off due to an incorrect reading from the flame electrode.
Clean and inspect the flame detection electrode and its wiring before replacing the PCB.
- 04
The control knob or control panel does not respond to any adjustments.
Cause: The PCB processes the commands received from the control panel; if its microprocessor fails, it does not execute any instructions.
Check if at least one indicator on the PCB is flashing; if there is no sign of life, the fault is more evident.
- 05
The circulation pump or the fan do not start when the boiler calls for heat.
Cause: These elements are activated by relays on the PCB itself; a damaged relay can prevent only that component from starting.
With the boiler turned off and unplugged, check if the component spins freely by hand before assuming the fault is with the PCB.
Fault codes for Beretta that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| 51 | PCB (control board) | Self-diagnosis of the main PCB (R2949) detects an internal fault. Check the power supply and service voltages of the PCB (5/12 V) and peripherals; if the issue persists, reprogram or replace the PCB. |
| 52 | PCB (control board) | Control board fault (R2949) indicated by the system. Check power supply, ground connections, connectors, and signals of the PCB; if there are no external anomalies, replace or reprogram the board. |
| 53 | EEPROM PCB R&W | EEPROM read/write error on the PCB (R2949) or corrupted data. Attempt reprogramming/reset to default values; if the error persists, replace the PCB. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
