Cointra M15/20C PCB AFESA Ref. 00048070
Control PCB for Cointra boilers M15/20C, manufactured by AFESA with reference 00048070 printed on the copper next to the Cointra logo. According to the connection labels printed on the PCB itself, it manages the potentiometers, modulated sensors, and the gas valve. It is replaced when the electronic control of these elements fails.

How to check if the reference 00048070 is the part for your boiler.
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 00048070. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB 00048070 resolves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and the click of the gas valve opening is not heard.
Cause: The PCB sends the signal to open the gas valve; if it doesn't work, the valve does not receive the command.
Check if there is power to the gas valve coil before assuming that the problem is with the PCB.
- 02
The flame goes up and down by itself, or it sounds like it's coughing when modulating.
Cause: The modulated sensors are controlled by this PCB; if it fails, the flame modulation becomes uncontrolled.
Check that the connectors of the modulated sensors are properly tightened and free of rust before replacing the PCB.
- 03
You turn the temperature knob and the boiler does not change anything.
Cause: The adjustment potentiometers depend on this PCB to regulate the boiler; if it fails, they do not control even though the knob turns correctly.
Move the potentiometers and check for any changes on the display or indicators; if nothing changes, the fault points to the PCB, not the potentiometer.
- 04
The boiler ignites but shuts off by itself after a few minutes.
Cause: An intermittent fault in the AFESA electronic control can cut off the gas supply without external cause.
Note if the cut always coincides with the use of domestic hot water or heating, to rule out another component before changing the PCB.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
