Cointra M15 20C PCB Code 0008172
The Cointra M15 20C 0008172 PCB is the component that controls the ignition, the modulation of the burner, the pump, and the safety features of the boiler. If it has faults, the boiler may not start, become locked, or exhibit erratic behavior. It is compatible with the Cointra M15 20C models, among others. It is recommended to replace it when these symptoms are detected to restore the proper functioning of the boiler.

How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB (control board) resolves
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not turn on at all, no indicators or noise, even though it has power and gas.
Cause: The PCB is not starting its control cycle because it is not receiving or managing the input power properly.
Measure with a multimeter that 230V is reaching the input of the PCB before declaring it faulty.
- 02
It turns on but does not respond to the temperature control, it always stays at the same point.
Cause: The circuit of the PCB that processes the signal from the remote control or thermostat is damaged and does not translate that command.
Try moving the temperature control to the maximum and minimum while observing if there is any change in the burner; if it never reacts, the PCB is suspect.
- 03
It turns off by itself after a while of normal operation, without any prior warning.
Cause: A component of the PCB degrades when heated and loses control of the cycle.
Note if the cut always occurs after a similar operating time; that thermal pattern points to the PCB rather than to a specific sensor.
- 04
Some indicator blinks or lights up in a way that does not correspond to any normal state described in the manual.
Cause: The PCB is incorrectly indicating an internal state due to a fault in its own electronics.
Compare the exact blinking pattern with the fault code table in the manual of this boiler before replacing the PCB.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
