Auxiliary Ionization PCB Cointra M15/20C Ref. 00048172
Auxiliary ionization card for Cointra M15/20C boiler, as per the silkscreen marking on the PCB ('TAR.AUXI.IONIZ 1', code 00048172). It manages the ionization signal of the burner's flame. It is replaced when the boiler does not detect a flame, locks during ignition, or intermittently resets due to ionization failure.

How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB (control board) resolves
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler ignites the burner but shuts off immediately as if it doesn't detect a flame.
Cause: The auxiliary PCB does not correctly interpret the signal from the ionization electrode, which causes the boiler to cut off the gas even though the flame is lit.
Clean the ionization electrode and make sure it is not covered in rust or soot before replacing the PCB.
- 02
The boiler resets itself several times in a row without staying on.
Cause: A fault in the PCB causes the flame signal to be intermittently lost, making the boiler attempt to ignite repeatedly.
Check the cable that connects the electrode to the PCB: a loose connection can cause the same reset issue.
- 03
A notification or code related to the flame or ionization appears on the display.
Cause: The boiler displays this fault code because it considers that the signal it receives from the PCB is insufficient or does not exist.
Check the ground connection of the boiler before replacing the PCB: a poor ground connection can distort the ionization signal.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
