Cointra E20L PCB
The Cointra E20L PCB is the component responsible for controlling the ignition, burner modulation, pump, and safety features of the boiler. When it fails, the boiler may not start, become locked, or exhibit erratic behavior. The user may notice issues such as the appearance of fault codes E00, E70, E71, or E72. This PCB is compatible with several models in the Cointra E20L range, among others. It is recommended to replace it when these symptoms or fault codes occur.

How to check if ref. 7683 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 7683. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB 7683 resolves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler tries to ignite, you can hear clicks, but the spark does not come out.
Cause: The ignition transformer on the PCB does not generate the necessary voltage for the arc.
With the boiler turned off and without power, check that the high voltage cable to the electrode is not loose and that the electrode is not broken before replacing the complete PCB.
- 02
A dry click is heard on the PCB when requesting heat, but the boiler does not respond.
Cause: The internal relay that activates the power supply to the components is stuck or does not close the contact properly.
Check if that click is always heard when requesting heat, because if it is never heard, the problem may be earlier, in the electrical supply.
- 03
The boiler turns on and off by itself repeatedly, without any apparent reason.
Cause: A fault in the PCB causes it to lose control of the ignition cycle midway through the process.
Note if the cut-off always occurs at the same point in the cycle, as this helps distinguish a PCB fault from a sensor fault.
- 04
The boiler is not receiving power, neither the clock nor the display turn on.
Cause: The PCB does not distribute the main power to the rest of the circuit.
Check the main fuse of the house and the fuse of the PCB before replacing it.
Fault codes for Cointra that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| E00 | No communication with the display | The boiler cannot communicate with the control panel. This may be due to a fault in the PCB. Check the connections of the board and its condition. |
| E70 | Cascade alarm (without communication with SLAVEs) | A cascade alarm has been triggered, indicating that the MASTER cannot communicate with one of the SLAVES. This may affect the system's performance. Check the communication between the PCB and the SLAVES. |
| E71 | Cascade alarm (alarm on one of the SLAVES) | A cascade alarm has been triggered, indicating that there is an alarm in one of the SLAVES. This may affect the operation of the system. Check the status of the PCB and the SLAVES. |
| E72 | Cascade alarm (no communication with MASTER) | A cascade alarm has been triggered, indicating that a SLAVE cannot communicate with the MASTER. This may affect the system's performance. Check the communication between the PCB and the MASTER. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
