How to check if ref. 8717208061 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Locate the reference printed on the body of the pressure gauge you have installed: it should indicate 8717208061.
- Check your boiler model on the nameplate and look for it in the list of compatible models on this page.
- Compare the connections and the body with the original part before installing.
- If you have any doubts, send us a photo of the screen printing via WhatsApp and we'll confirm it for you before you purchase.
Symptoms and faults resolved by pressure gauge 8717208061
The pressure gauge shows the pressure of the boiler circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
The yellow needle on the pressure gauge remains stuck at one point and does not reflect the actual pressure changes.
Cause: The Bourdon tube mechanism gets stuck with lime from the circuit and stops transferring pressure to the needle.
Bleed or slowly fill water while observing the yellow needle; if it doesn't move at any point, confirm the fault.
You see drops or a rust ring just below the gauge sphere
Cause: The gasket of the connection fitting to the circuit has dried out and no longer seals properly.
Dry the area and check in 24-48 hours if the moisture reappears before assuming that the part needs to be replaced.
The boiler shows a low pressure error on the display even though the circuit is full and the radiators heat well.
Cause: The mechanical reading of the needle does not match what the control unit interprets if there is an internal fault in the part.
Compare what the yellow needle indicates with the filling key or a portable manometer before replacing the assembly.
The boiler intermittently cuts off the supply of domestic hot water or heating without any apparent reason.
Cause: If this part includes an aquastat, a temperature contact that doesn't close properly causes cuts that seem random.
Note the water temperature at which the cut-off occurs to see if it always coincides with the same point before replacing the part.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
