Honeywell Pressure Sensor C6065FH1516 For Boiler VMW 232-1
Honeywell Pressure Sensor C6065FH1516 (manufactured by Yamatake, Made in China), confirmed by two external sources. It detects the circuit pressure and opens or closes the contact upon reaching the setting printed on the label (P=0.48 mbar, maximum 6 mbar). It is replaced when the boiler does not recognize the pressure signal and does not complete ignition.

How to check if ref. 050603 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 050603. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure switch 050603 resolves.
The pressure sensor measures the water pressure for the electronics. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and gets locked when starting the fan.
Cause: The pressure switch is not sending the correct signal to the control board to open the gas valve.
Check that the extractor is working properly and that the silicone tube going to the sensor is not blocked or disconnected.
- 02
The display shows a pressure error or lack of draft, and the boiler needs to be reset to try again.
Cause: The control unit indicates that the sensor does not detect the minimum exhaust pressure within the required time.
Before changing the part, check the flue duct for any obstructions (nests, ice, leaves) that may affect the draft.
- 03
The fault mainly occurs on windy days or during bad weather, while under normal conditions the boiler ignites well.
Cause: With a low pressure margin, any external back pressure in the duct can take the sensor out of its reading range.
If the problem coincides with strong winds, first check the external outlet terminal before considering that the sensor is faulty.
- 04
The fault is intermittent: the boiler starts up well most of the time, but sometimes it locks out for no apparent reason.
Cause: A loose electrical connection or a small leak in the pipe causes the reading of the sensor to fluctuate right at the switching threshold.
Check that the electrical connector of the sensor is properly fitted and that the pressure take-off tube has no cracks or leaks.
Fault codes from Vaillant that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F.22 | Safety shutdown: water shortage. | The pressure sensor (050603) may send a reading of pressure that is too low even if the circuit is correct, triggering the safety. Verify by comparing the manometer with the digital reading and check the sensor's power/signal (e.g., autotest S.97 or measurement in harness). |
| F.73 | Fault: water pressure sensor not connected or short-circuited. | Collector fault (open/short) or wiring causes invalid pressure signal. Check continuity and polarity of the harness, supply voltage (5/24 V), and sensor reading in diagnostics. |
| F.74 | Error: electrical problem with the water pressure sensor. | Short circuit at 5/24 V in the harness or internal fault of the sensor generates a pressure signal that is too high/erroneous. Check voltages and replace the sensor if it does not deliver a plausible signal. |
| F.75 | When the pump starts, a sufficient pressure increase is not detected. | If the pressure sensor is faulty/stuck or does not detect the pressure increase at the start of the pump, it triggers F.75. Check the circuit bleed and ensure that the sensor reading changes when the pump starts and matches the pressure gauge. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
