The VMW 32CS occupies the midpoint of this comparison: 31.8 kW for domestic hot water compared to 25.7 kW for the 26 and 35.6 kW for the 36. In heating, it delivers from 3.4 to 24.8 kW at 80/60 °C, or from 3.9 to 27.0 kW at 50/30 °C. The choice depends on the heat losses of the home and the hot water needed, not just on the number of rooms.

Micro-accumulation enhances the initial response of hot water. The specific flow rate is 15.2 l/min at ΔT 30 K, while the commercial sheet states 18.2 l/min at ΔT 25 K: the second figure uses a lower heating, not an additional performance. There is also a limiter of 10.4 l/min that must be taken into account when assessing various consumptions.

The commercial orientation for two or three bathrooms and a kitchen does not guarantee simultaneous showers. The body has a depth of 348 mm and requires the indicated maintenance clearances. Compared to the 36, it maintains the same format, with a lower minimum heating power: 3.4 kW versus 3.9 kW of the 36 at 80/60 °C.

It can be assessed whether the calculated load fits within its range of 3.4-24.8 kW at 80/60 °C. For example, 150 m² with assumed losses of 80 W/m² would require 12 kW; this is an illustrative calculation, not a surface approved by Vaillant. The minimum of 3.4 kW is also important: if the dwelling requires less, the unit may operate in cycles. Insulation, climate, ventilation, and emitters must be considered in the calculation before choosing this power.

Does the VMW 32CS allow for two simultaneous showers?

It cannot be guaranteed solely by its power. Two showers at 8 l/min would consume 16 l/min; with an inlet at 10 °C and usage at 40 °C, they require a temperature rise of 30 K. The declared specific flow rate is 15.2 l/min at ΔT 30 K. This falls short of that example of simultaneous consumption. Furthermore, the manual indicates a limiter of 10.4 l/min in domestic hot water: specific flow rate, hot water output, and mixed flow rate of the shower are not the same. It is necessary to measure the network pressure and flow rate, inlet temperature, and consumption of the showers. The limiter should not be removed or modified to achieve the advertised performance.

Does the ecoTEC plus VMW 32CS have a storage tank for showers?

It is a mixed model with micro-accumulation, not the VMI variant with accumulation. Micro-accumulation improves the initial response, but it does not provide a reserve of tens of liters to maintain multiple demands. For the VMW 32CS, its domestic hot water capacity of 31.8 kW and the flow rate under usage conditions must be evaluated.
