Drain Tap Junkers Cerastar ZWN24 7MFA Ref. 87160103180
When you open the drain tap of the Junkers Cerastar ZWN24 7MFA boiler, you allow the combustion gases to be evacuated properly. This part acts as an extractor, creating the necessary draft for the boiler to start correctly. If it fails, you will notice that the boiler does not ignite or gets locked due to issues with the flue gas evacuation. It is compatible with models such as ZWN24-7MFA23S2800 and ZWN24-7MFA31S2800, among others. It should be replaced when it shows obvious faults that prevent the boiler from functioning.

How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the extractor resolves
The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
When opening the drain tap for a repair, no water comes out or only a very small amount flows.
Cause: The internal passage of the faucet is blocked by limescale or dirt accumulated after years of disuse.
Check that the filling valve is closed and that some bleed valve is open at the highest point; without air intake, the circuit does not drain properly even if the tap is fine.
- 02
The faucet drips or does not stop leaking water after being turned off.
Cause: The gasket or the internal seat of the drain valve is worn and does not seal when closed.
Turn off the tap completely and dry the area well; if a drop appears again within a few minutes, the seal is not holding.
- 03
The faucet is seized up, it's very difficult to turn or it doesn't move at all.
Cause: The plastic or the internal mechanism gets stuck due to the limescale from the water or from not being handled for a long time.
Move the fitting carefully in both directions before forcing it; a sudden turn can break the plastic body.
- 04
There is moisture or a limescale ring on the floor right below where the drain valve is mounted.
Cause: The brass fitting is not tightly secured to the plastic body and is leaking at the joint.
Check if the humidity appears only when the boiler is running or also when it is off; this helps to determine if it is a pressure issue or just simple dripping.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
